• Credit Card Authorizations Consolidation Subsystem.

  Challenge: Customer implemented SAP IS Media solution and needed ability to consolidate authorization calls to credit card payment network. North American extension provided by SAP allowed consolidation on order item level, but it was not sufficient. To achieve greater benefit customer required consolidation across items under specific business rules.
  Solution:Custom Credit Call Consolidation layer was developed and introduced into SAP system. Use of standard user exits and enhancements ensured compatibility with North American enhancement and SAP support packages. Flexible configuration options allowed to follow complex business rules and provided ability to account for future changes in business rules.
  Result: Number of authorization and clearing calls to credit card payment network reduced by average 42%. Solution was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.

• SAP Data Archiving Project.

  Challenge: Size of the customer`s SAP database was approaching hardware capacity and recommended maximum database size for Database Management System. Time required for system backup/restore, or client copy was approaching unacceptable values. Overall system performance was degrading. Cost effective solution was needed to address these problems.
  Solution: Optimal solution involved SAP Data Archiving project for objects with biggest growth, DART implementation, Performance improvement project, and minor infrastructure upgrade. Unique functionality was developed for automated DART extracts, automated periodic Data Archiving, and for automated reconciliation of extracts vs. FI reports.
  Result:One-time SAP Data Archiving reduced database size and time required for backup/restore by 50%. Automated periodic Data Archiving reduced monthly database growth by 40%. Overall system performance improved by 25%. Client was able to continue utilizing existing hardware.
